OVERALL PURPOSE:
To lead the clinical governance agenda for the company. Provision of 24-hour Topside support (on call)
for remote sites. To provide clinical expertise and guidance for project design and provision.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Topside Support
- Provision of Topside Support Services, Doctor on Call
- Review of reports from Topside Cases
- Supporting the Alarm Centre in coordinating medevacs
- Carrying out medical evacuations by air ambulance if required
- Provide mentoring and support of team members, local and remote
- Conduct and/or participate in performance appraisals as required.
- Perform other duties as may be required from time to time for the proper operation of the business within the
limit of the person’s capabilities
Clinical Governance Team
- Carrying out Clinical interviews
- Carrying out induction to medical staff and other support staff (as required)
- Member of the Clinical Governance Team setting the standards for and supervising the provision of medical
services in remote sites
- Working with management to understand project requirements and design the service (required skill level of
staff, equipping, inventory and stocking etc) to match the project requirements
- Responsible for signing off projects as authorised for mobilisation at current state
- Responsible for ensuring that monthly reports from site (inventory, daily log or reports from clinic databases,
equipment checklists, ambulance checklists, oxygen checklists etc) are received
- Responsible for preparing monthly statistics (for Medilink Clinics)
- Responsible for reviewing monthly reports, Compiling relevant section in Sites Review Report, addressing
issues and following up
- Working closely with operations team in ongoing service delivery
- Communicating regularly with clinical staff in sites and clinics
- Reviewing and updating of Protocols (eg: Patient care protocols, Infection control etc)
- Participaring in training needs analysis
- Provision of training
- Supporting creation of CPD/CME modules for Clinic/ site medics
- Carrying out audits of medical services
- Supporting development of Health Promotion and Health Awareness campaigns
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Emergency Physician, Anaesthetist or Intensivist other specialist as necessary.
- Current registration with the Medical Council in a European Jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 7 years post-graduation working experience in an acute setting.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a remote environment or in an assistance platform
- ATLS, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS, Airway Management and Aeromedical (can be provided if not
current).

Job Requirements:
- On call based work, including weekends, holidays, and nights
- May be required to travel to site/clinic locations
